ROMAD COMMUNITY

● Why ROMAD Endpoint Defense

New samples of malware are being developed so fast that it seems impossible to catch up with them. But what do they all have in common? In fact, in most cases new viruses are the strains of the very same malware family with some common features. It is a game-changing factor:

- There are around 250 malware families in the world
- 50 families produce 80% of all strains
- To produce a new family is extremely expensive, that's why only a few families appear monthly.

ROMAD Endpoint Defense is the most innovative antivirus of the next generation. It combats the families, not the strains. The number of the strains does not matter now. Previous strains, current strains, future strains, ROMAD will catch and eradicate them all.

● Effectiveness proved

ROMAD has gained its reputation within the B2B sector and has received a number of prestigious awards.

=> Security SHARK TANK

- The winner of Security Shark Tank® San Francisco, 2017
- The winner of Security Shark Tank® Cupertino, 2016

=> WBC worldblockchain SUMMIT cryptocorency

- The winner of WBC SUMMIT

=> MARKETSANDMARKETS

- Key innovator, according to the Markets&Markets agency report "Endpoint detection and response market global forecast to 2021".
- IP protection is proved by the US patent ( US9372989B2 ) and the EU patent ( EP 2 767 923 A3 )

● Blockchain technology

Blockchain technology adds transparency and openness to the user-antivirus relationship.

As a rule of thumb, a user doesn’t know how a virus got to their computer, what the cause was and how the attack was repelled. All the data is recorded in the antivirus database that is, in fact, not accessible. It causes suspicions that antivirus software companies create viruses to have some “work to do.”

In our case, the data is written on the blockchain. After repelling an attack, a record containing a hash from the virus file, the virus type, the time of the attack, and etc. is created. The information is written on the blockchain, which is publicly accessible and can be verified by anyone.

● Why classic antiviruses (AVs) don’t work

Malware is evolving at an extremely fast pace: around 4 new malware samples are produced every second worldwide and there are over 750 million of them today.

=> How the classic AV combats malware

- When a new virus is detected, it is sent to the malware analytic laboratory. It means the attack has already taken place.
- The malware analysts study the sample, make a signature for it and place it to the database. Sometimes this process takes a couple of hours, sometimes weeks.
- The database finally gets to the endpoints. The endpoints should be protected from now on.

=> What are the disadvantages

- The protection is done post factum, when the malware has already caused irreparable damage.
- While the protection is being developed, hundreds of new samples appear worldwide, meaning endpoints are actually never secure. WannaCry and NonPetya have confirmed that.

● Finance distribution

A Defense token contains a built-in license for the ROMAD Endpoint Defense next generation antivirus. By purchasing the Defense token, a token owner is free to transfer this license (actually, the license code only) to third parties that will become the end users of the product. There is no need to sell the token itself.

The antivirus license is provided by the token owner to other people for free. The token owner will get benefit for repelling attacks on the end user’s computer. A payment occurs only if an attack is successfully repelled. No attack, no payment.

There are two options to make your token work:

- distribute the license yourself and get 60% of the payment
- transfer it to the ROMAD Marketplace and get 40%

When a virus attacks the endpoint, the ROMAD Endpoint Defense repels it. The fee for the repelled attack is written off from the end user's balance.

An appropriate portion of the fee is immediately transferred to the token owner's cryptowallet by the smart contract.
